Life Insurance Needs Calculator · Effective October 4, 2026

This policy explains what information the Life Insurance Needs Calculator app ("the app") handles and how. The app is published by Matthew Christopher ("I", "me").

The short version

The numbers you type into the calculator stay on your device. I don't ask you to create an account, I don't collect your name or email through the app, and I don't receive or store the figures you enter. The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to serve those ads, as described below.

Information you enter

The calculator asks for figures such as income, debts, mortgage balance, and savings so it can estimate a coverage amount. These figures are used only on your device while the app is open to produce your results. They are not sent to me or to any server I control, and they are not saved after you close the app.

Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob and its partners may collect and use information from your device to show ads and measure how they perform. This can include:

• Your device's advertising ID
• Your IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Device and app details, such as device model, operating system, and app version
• How you interact with ads, such as views and taps

I don't receive this information. Google's handling of it is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your choices

• Consent prompts. In regions where the law requires it, such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your consent before showing ads that use your data.
• Advertising ID. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your Android device settings (usually under Settings, then Privacy, then Ads).
• Stop all collection. Uninstalling the app stops any further ad data collection by the app.

Children

The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Not financial advice

The calculator gives general estimates for educational purposes. It is not financial, insurance, tax, or legal advice. Speak with a licensed professional before making decisions about life insurance coverage.

Data security and retention

Because the figures you enter are not collected by me, I do not store or retain personal data about you. Data handled by Google AdMob is retained and protected under Google's own policies.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, I will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
